Baby Y's Birth Story, Pre Eclampsia, and Sectio Caesarea (English version - part 1)

First of all, I would like to apologize for my bad English hahaha. You might find some (or many) grammar mistakes. English is not my first language but I will try my best.

This is a story about a miracle boy. A story about my love, my life; Baby Y.

After waiting for around four months, I finally found two strips on my pregnancy test kit. I still remember how happy I am at that time, so did my husband.

My pregnancy went as usual. I got morning sickness (or can I say, all day sickness?), gained weight, got baby bumps in my belly, and other (happy) symptoms. I always check my pregnancy every month to obgyn specialist near my home, at BWCC (Bintaro Women and Children Clinic) Jagakarsa with dr. Dini Utari, SpOG.

And again, everything went as usual, until around my 32 weeks, I came to our regular check ups and visit the baby on my wombs. Then dr. Dini said that my baby was a little bit smaller than she expected. My blood pressure was also increasing to 120/80 (I usually never goes higher than 110), but I think I only got too tired that day. Then, she told me to add protein on my daily menu. I was told to eat 6 egg white a day, a lot of red meat, fruits and vegetables.

As a new mom wanna be, I had follow her advice well, definitely. I increase the amount that I eat everyday and drink so so much water. And not long after, I went to Yogyakarta to attend my sister's graduation. We spent two fine days there, I eat a lot (and have a certain quality as well). Right after I arrive in Jakarta, I and my husband came to dr. Dini again to do our regular check.

I was expect that my baby's weight increase a lot since I eat a lot. But dr. Dini said that my baby didn't gain any weight, and his weight as if he is just 29 weeks. She also refer me to a Fetomaternal doctor to have more specific test about my womb.

My heart was broke and I start to worry. What's going on with my baby? What's wrong with me?

On my last check up, I ask for her recommendation and she refer me to dr. Novi Resistantie, SpOG(K). Then we make an appointment to dr. Novi in Bunda Margonda Hospital. But the next day, the hospital text me and inform that dr. Novi will take a leave until the next week.
Then we find for another doctor. We ask dr. Dini for another recommendation and she told me to try to make an appointment with dr. Eva Roria Silalahi, Sp.OG. Then again, we make an appointment with her the next day in Hermina Ciputat Hospital.
Qadarallah, my appointment was at the afternoon. Only an hour before, the hospital again text me and told me that we can't meet dr. Eva because she has another duty in other hospital.

I became more worry. Dr. Dini order us to meet fetomaternal doctor as soon as possible and comeback to her with the result the day after. I assume this as a critical situations.
The next day, I was busy to find a fetomaternal doctor. At first, we found a woman doctor, near from my home, and not too expensive. But we can't find any. Then we reduce the criteria to woman doctor, and not too expensive. We still can't find any. Then we only find a woman doctor, without any concern about the price and her location. We still can't find any. And finally, we just find any fetomaternal doctor as soon as possible. We need to know what's wrong with my baby and do what need to do immediately.

Long story short, we make an appointment to dr. Trijatmo SpOG (K). We came there by grab car. And since I enter the car, suddenly tears gather up in my eyes. I tried so hard to not cry. I have to be strong for my baby. But I can't hold back once we met the doctor. He just open the referring letter and told me to met dr. Bambang Karsono SpOG (K) the next day.

(to be continue...)
